How to Get a Regular Aadhaar Card

You can get your Regular Aadhaar easily by enrolling through an authorized Aadhaar centre or online process.
 
Steps to Enrol:
  1. Visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
  2. Fill out the Aadhaar Enrolment Form.
  3. Provide your identity proof (PAN, Passport, Voter ID, etc.) and address proof (electricity bill, bank statement, etc.).
  4. Provide your biometric details – fingerprints, iris scan, and photograph.
  5. Review your details and submit the form.
  6. You’ll receive an Enrolment ID (EID) for checking your Aadhaar status later.
Once processed, your Regular Aadhaar will be generated and delivered by post within a few weeks.

How to Download Regular Aadhaar Online

After receiving your Aadhaar number, you can download the same Regular Aadhaar digitally anytime using UIDAI’s official portal.
 
Steps:
  1. Visit the official myAadhaar portal: https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
  2. Click on “Download Aadhaar”.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar Number (UID), Enrolment ID (EID), or Virtual ID (VID).
  4. Fill the captcha and click Send OTP.
  5. Verify the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
  6. Click on Verify & Download to get your Regular e-Aadhaar PDF.
Your downloaded Aadhaar PDF will be password-protected.
First 4 letters of your name in CAPITAL + Birth Year (YYYY)
Example: If your name is MEET KUMAR and year of birth is 1998 → Password = MEET1998 

Who Can Apply for Regular Aadhaar?

Any Indian resident, regardless of age, gender, or background, can apply for a Regular Aadhaar card.
Children below 5 years get a Blue Aadhaar (Baal Aadhaar), which later converts into a Regular Aadhaar after re-enrolment at age 5 and 15.
